Jeff completed his Bachelor of Jurisprudence and Bachelor of Law degrees at Monash University in 1975. He then spent all of 1976 travelling around Europe and working on a Kibbutz in Israel. Not long after completing his Articles he became a Partner in the firm Hawthorne Tait and Co. in Lilydale practising principally in Family and Criminal Law. Following the retirement of his Partner, he began practising in Property Law and Estate Administration as well.
In or about 1996 Jeff merged his firm into Mulcahy Mendelson and Round in Mitcham as he wanted to specialize in the areas of Property and Estate Administration.
Jeff joined Rotman and Morris in 2015 as a Consultant and has worked in our Caulfield office ever since. You can catch him in the office on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. His areas of practice are:
- Property and Conveyancing Law
- Wills and Estate Administration
- Powers of Attorney
- Commercial Leasing
Jeff is and has been an active Freemason for over 30 years and when he can find the time he enjoys fishing, boating and watching the Footy (Go Cats!). He is married to Cynthia (whom he met on the Kibbutz) and they have two adult children.
